The Music Ministry of John Daniel Johnson

If you think Christian music only glosses over life's struggles, then you haven't heard John Daniel Johnson. The Alabama-based singer-songwriter creates honest, heartfelt music that speaks to real-life pain, loss, faith, and redemption.

His 2024 debut album, Empty Altars, has received continuous airplay on Christian radio since its release. His latest album, "Echoes of Zion", has such songs as I'm Screaming Mercy, Broken Hallelujahs, and Just As I Am have reached thousands of listeners across the country. Drawing from his experiences as a pastor, police officer, husband, father, and follower of Christ, he writes songs that reflect life's challenges while pointing listeners to the hope, grace, and faithfulness of God. With a Southern rock sound, gritty vocals, and powerful lyrics, his music is both authentic and uplifting, offering worship in the midst of life's storms.

Newest Song - "Your Word Speak"

I wrote "Your Word Speak" more than 15 years ago, during a season when my heart longed for one thing above everything else—to hear the voice of God. Over the years, life has changed. I've served as a soldier, a police officer, a pastor, a husband, a father, and now a grandfather. Through every victory, every valley, every unanswered prayer, one truth has remained - God still speaks. This song is a prayer for every believer who has ever whispered, "Lord... I just want to hear Your voice."

Newest Song - "When You Call Me Home"

"When You Call Me Home" is a heartfelt worship song that reflects on the hope every believer has in Christ. From remembering God's faithfulness on earth to anticipating the day we stand before Him in heaven, this song celebrates the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ. No matter what trials we face in this life, our hope is secure. One day the skies will open, Christ will appear, and His children will hear the words they've longed to hear, "Welcome home."
